Ann Banks Serota

Hello All!! I know it's been FOREVER since I have posted! I am so sorry! Life has been pretty crazy since our little one was born. She is truly a blessing and I am sooo glad she is in our lives. She was born on December 20, 2010 and had to spend 5 days in the NICU for fast breathing. It was one of the hardest things we've had to face. We were thankful her condition was not life threatening, but hated that we had to see her in this condition. We are grateful to our nurses who kept us informed and answered the many questions that we had.

We were able to bring her home on Chrsitmas day! It was a Christmas we will NEVER forget!

Now Ann Banks is almost 6 months old. She is growing too fast! Here she is at each milestone

1 Month Old :)

2 Months Old--Right before her shots :(

3 Months Old--At the beach for Spring Break :)

4 Months Old

5 Months Old--Eating baby food for the first time!

Parenting Class

Blake and I have been going to a "Parenting Class" for the last couple of weeks. I think it is very informative, and both Blake and I are learning lots. It's making us realize how close the whole "labor and delivery" process really is! 8 weeks 6 days left until my due date. I honestly can't believe it!

One part of the class was to have the husbands where the empathy belly. It was supposed to make the men realize what it was like to carry 26 lbs. around ALL THE TIME. Of course, Blake said it "wasn't that bad". But then again, he didn't get to see what it was like to sit/stand up, bend over and pick something up, sleep, and have something constantly on your bladder. I think if he would have felt all that, he might feel a little (just a little) sorry for me:)

Last week, we also went to a doctor's appointment. We got to have our 4D ultrasound. This was one of the most fascinating experiences Iv'e ever had. We got to see what our baby actually looks like inside my big ole belly. We think she's beautiful! OK, well her nose looks a little big, but the ultrasound tech told us that all babies noses look big on the 4D. Maybe she was just being sweet, but we are hoping she was telling the truth:) She weighs 3 lbs. 3 oz. and is rapidly growing. She's in the 40th percentile, so she's probably going to be pretty small. (close to 7 lbs. at birth).

Baby Update

So, I have had this blog for months, but since school has started I have had zero extra time to sit down and figure it out. With the baby coming in about 2 months, I figured I needed to update our friends and family. When she arrives, I thought this would be a good way to communicate with everyone:)
As of yesterday, I am 29 weeks preggers. 10 weeks 6 days left until our due date! We are having a baby girl! Blake and I are so excited about meeting this little one, we can hardly stand it. My stomach continues to get bigger and bigger everyday! Baby girl's kicks are getting stronger and stronger as well!
Blake and I start our pre-natel class tomorrow that is supposed to "prepare" us for the BIG DAY. I don't think anyone can really prepare us for what it's going to be like, but we will do what we can to somewhat prepare us. Ill post tomorrow night and let all know how it goes:)
